BRITANNIA AIRWAYS: In a week when managing director Kevin Hatton celebrates 40 years in the airline business, Britannia Airways has announced that its fleet for summer operations 2003 will comprise of nine Boeing 767-300s, four Boeing 767-200s and 19 Boeing 757, in total 32 aircraft. Kevin, who is also CEO TUI Airline Management, joined the then BEA as an apprentice way back in 1963. He held many posts at British Airways over the years, completing his time with BA World Cargo. Forty years must be something of a record and ABTN would be delighted to learn about others who have managed to stay (sane) in the industry that long.
