SOUTHAMPTON AIRPORT is set for a record-breaking year with 10 new routes and four new airline partners, Eastern Airways, Skybus, KLM and SN Brussels. This summer the airport will offer 120 flights daily, 12 to European destinations, nine domestic, plus frequent services to the Channel Islands of Jersey, Guernsey and Alderney. There are also holiday charter flights to Alicante, Ibiza, Majorca, Malaga, Malta and Tenerife (all year round). In December Southampton Airport will commemorate what is probably the UK longest running air route, the Jersey service, which started in 1933. It has had various operators and was interrupted from 1940 until 1945. http://www.baa.com
