SONG, the new low-budget airline from Delta Air Lines has begun on-line Internet ticket sales and scheduled its first flight, New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport to West Palm Beach Florida for Tuesday 15 April. Song plans 144 daily flights by October from Boston, Hartford, New York and Washington DC to various points in the south east including Atlanta, Orlando and Tampa, Florida. The launch of Song comes as many traditional carriers are loosing money or struggling to survive. However no frills airlines such as South West and Jet Blue continue to thrive. Song, which replaces Delta Express, is expected to account for about 10% of all Delta passengers in its first year. http://www.flysong.com
