Singapore Airlines has re-opened its SilverKris Lounge at Heathrow airport’s Terminal 2 following growth in the carrier’s UK schedule. Both the first and business class sections of the lounge are now accepting passengers travelling with Singapore Airlines and Star Alliance members.
The self-service buffet in the business class section of the lounge has been replaced with a hosted buffet where diners can request their food selection, while pre-plated items such as sandwiches, cakes and fruit will still be available.
Staff will monitor numbers inside the lounge to ensure social distancing can be maintained and all passengers are required to wear a mask except when they are eating or drinking.
Star Alliance passengers will be requested to show proof of a negative Covid-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours of departure upon entry. Singapore Airlines passengers already require a negative test in order to travel to Singapore so will have demonstrated their status upon check-in at the airport.
Singapore Airlines currently flies 18 times per week from Heathrow, as well as three times a week from Manchester.
