Singapore Airlines’ SilverKris lounge at London Heathrow Airport will close next week to undergo a £3.5 million refurbishment.
The Singaporean carrier will close its Terminal 2 lounge on 8 February to deliver “a refreshed experience” for travellers when it reopens “later in the summer”.
The new-look facility will comprise up to 16 per cent more seating space and will take design cues from the recently renovated flagship SilverKris lounge (pictured) in Singapore’s Changi Airport Terminal 3.
Singapore Airlines general manager UK & Ireland, Mohamed Rafi Mar, said: “Having continuously operated from the UK’s capital for over 50 years, London is an important premium market for Singapore Airlines.
“The renovation of the SilverKris Lounge at London Heathrow demonstrates our commitment to London and will deliver an enhanced experience to our customers once reopened.”
During the closure period, Singapore Airlines First Class and Business Class customers, as well as PPS Club, KrisFlyer Elite Gold, and Star Alliance Gold members will be invited to use United Airlines’ United Club Lounge at Terminal 2, located opposite Gate B46.
