Scandinavian airline SAS has expanded its partnership with Aeromexico through a new codeshare agreement.
The agreement between the SkyTeam members will allow SAS passengers to fly between the airline’s key North American gateways and Mexico City on one ticket by using Aeromexico flights.
Members of SAS EuroBonus and Aeromexico Rewards loyalty programmes will also benefit from reciprocal SkyTeam privileges, including earning and redeeming points, priority boarding, and lounge access.
Paul Verhagen, chief commercial officer at SAS, said: “The new codeshare agreement with Aeromexico strengthens SAS’ main hub in Copenhagen and provides access to several destinations in Mexico.
“Travellers can now reach Mexico City, Guadalajara, Cancun and the country’s many historical and cultural sites. This expands connectivity to Europe, Asia and North America.”
The codeshare is already in operation for bookings for flights starting on 6 December.
SAS has been strengthening its relationships with other SkyTeam members since joining the alliance in 2024.
Last month, SAS expanded its relationship with Vietnam Airlines through a “broader” codeshare agreement, which coincides with Vietnam Airlines’ new route between Copenhagen and Ho Chi Minh City that will launch on 15 December.
