RYANAIR carried 1.3m passengers last month, a rise of 64%. The total for the year 2002 was 14.5m, a rise of 41%. It is thought that around 60%, or nearly 9m of these passengers, originated from the UK. Ryanair includes no-shows and cancellations as it has a no refund policy. These seats are then re-sold. Promotional seats, usually given away for free, are also included. Ryanair boss Michael O”Leary continues to warn against too optimistic figures for 2003.
