The American Express lounge at Stockholm Arlanda Airport has reopened on Thursday (4 April) following an extensive renovation, which has seen the space double in size.
The new-look American Express Lounge by Pontus Frithiof now spans 700 sqm and is the group’s largest lounge in the Nordic region to date.
Located at the Marketplace in Terminal 5, the lounge features design elements ‘inspired by Scandinavian nature’ and will be run by famed Swedish chef and restaurateur Pontus Frithiof, whose menu includes local fare such as shrimp sandwiches and salmon salad.
“As part of Stockholm Arlanda's ongoing development, it is particularly pleasing that we are getting a brand-new lounge and continuing our collaboration with American Express,” said Charlotte Ljunggren, director of marketing and sales at airport operator Swedavia.
“We will continue to develop and fulfil our target group promise to our passengers of [providing] smooth, inspiring experiences where the airport becomes a meeting place in its own right," she added.
The lounge, which had been closed since March 2023, is now open to all American Express Centurion and Platinum members from Monday to Friday from 05:00 to 18:00, Saturday from 05:00 to 15:00, and Sunday from 05:00 to 18:00.
