Qatar Airways has announced plans to expand its private jet charter division around the world with the opening of new offices in Shanghai, Moscow and London later this year.
Qatar Executive has also received two additional certifications – the International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations, which confirms the company’s safety standards for corporate aviation, and Wyvern Wingman, which dictates additional requirements.
The airline says that opening the new offices in key locations will enable it to offer bespoke and personal service to both business and leisure clients on a global scale.
The private charter division was opened in 2009 and has been celebrating its tenth anniversary at the European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE).
It currently operates a fleet of 16 jets, including five Gulfstream G650ERs, three Gulfstream, G500s, three Bombardier Challenger 605s, four Global 500s and one Global XRS. In 2019, the charter division will receive an additional five G500s, with one arriving this month, and one G650ER being delivered in June.
