Qatar Airways has revamped its corporate rewards programme, Beyond Business, in the hopes of enticing larger businesses to join.
The carrier launched Beyond Business at the beginning of 2019 and mainly targeted small and medium-sized business customers. The programme has now been expanded to five tiers, based on travel spend with Qatar Airways.
The basic level, Elevate, requires no spending commitment and gives companies access to discounted fares and an earning rate of one point, redeemable for flights and other rewards, per dollar spent.
In higher tiers, which require a minimum spend commitment, companies earn points at a higher rate and also gain access to benefits such as priority baggage handling and Privilege Club tier status for their travellers.
The programme had three tiers upon its launch – Elevate, Accelerate and Ascend – with the highest tier requiring $100,000 in annual spending. The new structure adds two higher tiers – Advance and Achieve – though the announcement did not indicate minimum spending requirements for the new tiers and the airline did not respond to an enquiry from BTN.
Travellers continue to earn their individual points in the Qatar Airways Privileges Club as companies earn points in the corporate programme.
The airline continues to rebuild its network, which currently covers more than 140 destinations worldwide.
