Australian airline Qantas has opened its expanded Brisbane International lounge, which now offers space for nearly 400 passengers.
The lounge has grown by 25 per cent and now features three levels, with the ground floor being the newest area. This level now provides seating for 100 customers and is equipped with its own kitchen to serve a premium hot and cold buffet, Quench hydration station, full bar and barista coffee.
There is also a buffet on the main level and a “breakfast hatch” on the mezzanine serving cooked-to-order dishes. Customers seated anywhere in the lounge can order breakfast plates from the team.
Other features include a business centre, wifi, shower suites with Aspar by Aurora skincare products and a Sofitel service experience.
Qantas operates 58 return, direct international services each week from Brisbane to Auckland, Christchurch, Queenstown, Hong Kong, Los Angeles, Noumea, Port Moresby, Singapore and Tokyo.
The new lounge is open to customers travelling in Business class, eligible frequent flyers and Oneworld members.
Vanessa Hudson, Qantas Group chief customer officer, said: “With the majority of our international flights from Brisbane departing in the morning, the expanded space will give our customers a more relaxed lounge experience.”
