QANTAS has officially reported that a flight attendant is in hospital in Sydney with a probable case of SARS after working on a flight from Singapore. The Australian woman is in isolation and undergoing tests after showing symptoms of the disease following the flight a week ago. Qantas says the World Health Organisation has stated there is no evidence of SARS being transmitted by people who do not have its symptoms. It says it does not therefore believe the flight attendant was infectious when she worked on QF32 last Sunday. But Qantas says it is contacting the 341 passengers and 19 crew as a precaution. Australia has previously reported four probable SARS cases, all of whom have recovered.
