Business travel and expense management consultancy Opteva will re-launch its Intelligent Air Fare Audit product to the corporate market.
The service is designed to validate whether air fares are being secured at the best price and identify practical solutions to address any gaps.
Opteva says the audit is completely independent of any travel supplier and provides an objective, fact-based review of a TMC’s performance. It claims the product gives corporates reassurance that their air fare costs have been fully independently audited.
During the process, live bookings are audited against what is available within the GDSs to establish whether the lowest fare has been secured. It is also compared to alternative booking channels.
Rachel Watson, director and co-founder of Opteva, commented: “Air travel is the largest controllable expense, but with the amount of web fares now available and content sitting outside of the GDS, corporations are losing control as travellers shop around. Now is the time to re-launch this product to our customers.”
Johanne Young, director and co-founder of Opteva, added: “Opteva’s Intelligent Air Fare Audit operates in a live environment and looks at real-time market fares across all booking channels. We provide instant reporting, giving the customer the opportunity to make the best pre-trip decisions for their business and ultimately save money but also take back the purchasing control.”
