The live
music industry will be able to go to a one-stop shop for their travel and freight needs thanks to a new tie-up between music touring travel specialist TAG and freight
operator CargoLive.
The agreement
between the two firms – which is currently being trialled in Australia – will “remove
an unnecessary level of administration and planning”.
“We have
worked with some of the largest names in entertainment over the years, moving
hundreds of thousands of people around the globe,” said Shane Barr, TAG managing
director for APAC.
“This joint venture with CargoLive will now give us the
opportunity to be able to consolidate the work of already overstretched tour managers,
allowing them to come to one place for all travel and freight needs.”
“Having
everything under one roof will be a huge benefit to all of our clients,” said Trent
Powell, who heads up the CargoLive operation in Australia. “We’ve worked with
TAG frequently over the years, so we know the quality of service we’re
recommending. It makes perfect sense to be able to offer that high-quality
travel experience to everyone we work with.”
The joint offering will be rolled out globally at the start of 2021.
