Commonwealth Business Media (CBM), the US company owned by UK-based United Business Media (UBM), is drastically restructuring its latest acquisition, OAG. UBM took over the flight information and data solutions company in December last year with the intention to give it a more global focu
OAG will now operate in three divisions worldwide to serve customers in the aviation, cargo and corporate travel industries entitled Aviation Services, Cargo Services and Travel Services respectively.
CBM”s leading aviation brand, BACK Aviation Solutions, will also be integrated into the OAG system, offering strategic and technical consulting and data information services to the aviation industry with more than 20 years of data history.
CBM president and CEO, Alan Glass, will continue to serve as CEO of OAG, with BACK president, Steven Casley, assuming the position of OAG chief operating officer. OAG”s current managing director EMEA, Duncan Alexander, is to become vice president business development and industry relations, while Stephen Bray takes on the role of OAG Worldwide managing director.
Managing directors for the three divisions ” Aviation, Cargo and Travel, respectively ” are John Weber, formerly vice president sales for BACK, Mike Navin, who has worked for OAG in a consultancy role and David Rosen, currently a principal for travel spending analysis firm, Nextfeed.
