AIR TRAVEL HEALTH: A new unit for addressing health issues affecting air passengers and crew is to be established, the Aviation Minister John Spellar has announced. The unit, based at CAA Gatwick, will become a centre of expertise and act as a focal point for aviation health issues; offer advice to air passengers and crew and be the first port of call for public enquiries; investigate potential new aviation health concerns; provide technical input into international organisations; identify the need for and manage future research, and maintain good relations with the aviation industry on aviation health matters. http://www.dft.gov.uk
