MYTRAVEL, the former Airtours, seems to have survived its latest crisis and has agreed with it lenders ”in principle” for refinancing until 2006. Bookings are said to have picked up in recent weeks and were 3% ahead of last year on a 12% reduction in capacity with prices 1% down. A trading statement says that with 500,000 fewer UK summer holidays left to sell than at the same point last year this leaves 40% of UK summer charter capacity left, compared to 49% last year.
