EMIRATES, one of the World”s fastest growing international airlines, has unveiled major expansion plans and a substantial increase of service out of the UK. From 1 June Emirates will provide nine daily flights to its Dubai hub from Heathrow, Gatwick, Birmingham and Manchester. It had already announced plans to add a second daily frequency from Manchester and is now adding a third daily service from Gatwick. Emirates will add a record 11 new aircraft to its fleet during the year and increase seating capacity by 25%, allowing it to start four new routes, add more flights on many current sectors and launch radically new in-flight services and products.
