MAERSK AIR UK LTD is the subject of a management buyout which should be completed shortly (See ABTN 10 February on http://www.abtn.co.uk). Planned, and implemented is the withdrawal of Birmingham ” Belfast International from last Sunday (6 April) leaving FLyBE as the sole operator from Birmingham to Belfast (City), and also the Birmingham ” Amsterdam service which goes from 11 April. The airline, which operates ten Bombardier CRJ aircraft under a British Airways franchise, is expected to continue trading in a similar manner but probably with a reduced fleet. It is not to be confused with Maersk, a Gatwick operator to Copenhagen and Billund.
