LITHUANIAN AIRLINES, or at least 66% of it, has been put up for sale by the state of Lithuania. The airline currently operates from Vilnius to 13 destinations in 12 countries using a fleet of four Boeing 737 and three Saab 2000 aircraft. The prospectus calls for another airline as the investor and stipulates JAA or FAA approved or a member of an international alliance. The closing date for expression of interest is Thursday, 6 February 2003, with final presentations in June.
