KLM is to add an extra daily frequency on its route between Amsterdam Schiphol and Newcastle at the start of the winter schedule.
The Dutch airline will introduce a fifth daily flight on the route from 29 October, which will take its total schedule up to 35 flights per week.
Fahmi Mahjoub, Air France & KLM general manager for the UK and Ireland, said: “With the addition of the extra service to Amsterdam, KLM is pushing its commitment to passengers in Newcastle and the rest of the Tyne and Wear region even further.”
Richard Knight, Newcastle airport’s chief operating officer, added that the route to Amsterdam was “extremely important to the region’s business and leisure passengers”.
