JETMAGIC, the new Cork-based airline, has confirmed that it is all go for its published start-up on 28 April with routes to Brussels, Belfast, Nice and Barcelona. London City has been postponed until 18 August by which time the EMB 135 jet is expected to have been certificated for scheduled operations using the airport”s steep glide-path. The similar Embraer Legacy executive aircraft has already been approved for LCY. Initially Jetmagic will use an ex-Crossair/Swiss EMB 145 which will be joined by a pair of new EMB135s for use on new routes to Milan, Rome and Alicante. As a precursor to the operation Jetmagic is planning a Cork charity flight on Saturday 26 April with all ticket sales (to the highest bidders) donated to St. Patrick's Hospital, Marymount Hospice, which provides special palliative care services for Cork, and Cuanlee Refuge (Haven by the Lee), a safe haven in Cork for women and children experiencing domestic violence. www.jetmagic.com
