Nordic airline Icelandair has commenced a new service to the Czech capital of Prague from Keflavík Airport in Reykjavik.
The seasonal service, which launched on Thursday (1 June) will operate four times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays, through to October 2023.
Icelandair CEO Bogi Nils Bogason, said the carrier sees “great opportunities” in offering a morning flight to Prague that “ties in well” with added frequencies on its transatlantic flights.
“Currently, there are few flight connections from Prague to the US and Canada, so we are pleased to be able to greatly improve connections between these markets, as well as offer convenient departure times between Iceland and Prague," he said.
The carrier plans to enter new markets after recently signing a deal with Airbus to buy up to 25 new A321XLR aircraft.
