Icelandair is planning to offer more flights from its Reykjavik base to Rome and Nice in 2023.
The Nordic carrier introduced both western European destinations in July 2022 and now plans to start the seasonal flights earlier next year. Flights to Rome will begin on 24 March followed by Nice services from 8 June.
Bogi Nils Bogason, Icelandair Group’s CEO, said: “Over the past months, we have been steadily expanding our flight schedule and we are very pleased to announce an extended season to Nice and Rome.
“We introduced the two new destinations earlier this year and immediately got very good reception. That’s why we decided to extend the season.”
Icelandair’s flights to Rome Fiumicino airport will initially operate twice weekly before adding an extra service from 1 June to 31 October. The Nice service will be twice weekly from 8 June to 4 September.
