ITA Airways and budget airline Volotea have agreed a codeshare partnership as of 15 April, which will boost connectivity between Italy and other European destinations, the carriers said.
The agreement leverages both carriers’ existing routes to and from Rome Fiumicino Airport, covering 104 different flight combinations. Passengers will benefit from improved links via Rome Fiumicino to ITA Airways cities such as Milan Linate, Catania, Palermo, Brindisi, Trieste, Genoa, Reggio Calabria, Frankfurt, Paris, London, Zurich, Tirana and Amsterdam.
The deal will also offer new itineraries through Volotea’s Madrid and Barcelona hubs, connecting to destinations like Murcia, Asturias, Vitoria, Bilbao, Bordeaux, Lourdes/Tarbes, Nantes and Strasbourg – all with a single ticket.
Volotea currently serves 23 airports across Italy, and this new codeshare follows a previous interline agreement formed by the two airlines in 2025, as well as their joint bid for public tenders supporting connectivity in Sardinia.
