HOOTERS AIR has taken off with a first flight from Atlanta to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The airline offers a single daily service. On 3 April 2003 Hooters Air will introduce flights from the popular resort to Newark New York followed in June with services to Baltimore. First established in 1983 in Clearwater, Florida, today Hooters of America, Inc. is the franchiser and operator of over 330 Hooters restaurants in 43 states and 10 foreign countries. Service is provided by All-American cheerleaders dressed in hot-pants, the Hooters Girls. Whether the airline idea catches on this side of the Atlantic remains to be seen.
