MANCHESTER AIRPORT is to be a new destination for Hapag Lloyd Express, like Britannia Airways/Thomson Holidays, part of the TUI Group. The German budget carrier will introduce a twice daily service from Cologne at the beginning of the summer schedules with timings which will allow for a useful day”s work at either end of the route. On a completely different front, with the airport expected to double its passenger throughput over the next 10 years towards 40m, MAN has announced a recruitment drive for senior managers. Advertisements are being placed for department heads in commercial, marketing and communications.
