Germany has added 25 countries to the list of areas with a particularly high risk of Covid infection to which additional entry requirements apply.
The country has added Albania, Andorra, Bolivia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Colombia, the Czech Republic, Egypt, Estonia, Iran, Israel, Kosovo, Latvia, Lebanon, Lithuania, Mexico, Montenegro, North Macedonia, the Palestinian territories, Panama, Portugal, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, the United Arab Emirates and the USA to the list of countries compiled by the country’s Robert Koch Institut.
Anyone who has been in one of these areas in the ten days prior to entry must carry proof of a negative test carried out at the earliest 48 hours before entry. This is in addition to the requirement on all arrivals to register before departure for Germany and enter quarantine for ten days, which can be reduced after five days on getting a negative test result.
