FLYGLOBESPAN, yet another new so-called low-cost airline is to launch its first route a month earlier than planned, in order to takes off before rival Air Scotland. The carrier, which plans to serve holiday destinations only, will launch a weekly Glasgow International ” Palma Majorca service on Saturday, 8 March, and plans to go twice weekly from the end of May. Using Boeing 737 equipment (and like Jet2 operating under a Channel Express
AOC) the carrier, part of the long established Edinburgh-based Globespan Group will from April onwards also offer Palma from Edinburgh and Prestwick. At that time Malaga, Nice and Rome will be introduced from Prestwick, whilst from Edinburgh Malaga and Nice are offered plus Barcelona. Once again it is seat allocation by check-in.
