Flydubai is expanding its operations from its Dubai base to Europe including a new year-round service to Milan starting in spring 2023.
The budget airline has been expanding since the start of 2022 with new flights added to Pisa in Italy and also to several central Asian destinations.
Flydubai will introduce year-round flights from its base at Dubai International airport to Milan Bergamo from 10 March 2023. The route will initially operate five times per week before being expanded into a daily service.
The airline will also start seasonal summer services from Dubai to Cagliari on the Italian island of Sardinia and the Greek destination of Corfu from June 2023.
“I am very proud to see our network grow bigger than ever,” said Flydubai’s CEO Ghaith Al Ghaith.
After these additions, Flydubai will serve 113 destinations across 53 countries, including new routes from Dubai to Krabi and Pattaya in Thailand, as well as the resumption of flights to Hofuf in Saudi Arabia on 24 November.
Flights will operate from Dubai International’s Terminal 2 and 3 with Emirates codesharing on all these routes.
Jeyhun Efendi, senior vice president, commercial operations and e-commerce, at Flydubai, added: “We are pleased to see our network in Europe grow and to serve five destinations in Italy. Over the years, we have continued to see increased demand to and from the region.”
