Finnair has unveiled a new
Business Light fare class which offers a seat in business class and carry-on
baggage. Passengers can pay to add lounge access or onboard internet access.
The
new ticket type has been revealed as the airline refreshes its existing ticket types in
both business and economy classes on short-haul services.
Classic tickets, which include
one checked bag, now feature fee-free changes with passengers only paying
any difference between the original and new ticket. Passengers
on Flex tickets, which are fully flexible and refundable, no longer have access
to airport priority services under the changes.
Ole Orvér, Finnair’s chief commercial
officer, said: “There is an increasing need to personalise the travel
experience, and our new ticket type offers business class customers fantastic
additional choice.
“We
want to provide our customers flights which work for them, and so we will be
introducing even more choice and personalisation in the future as we restart
our routes and prepare to ramp-up our operations.”
