Low-cost carrier Eurowings will introduce a new ‘premium’ business-class seat concept on medium-haul routes from November.
The new ‘Premium BIZ’ seat, by Italian manufacturer Geven, will feature adjustable backrests, an ergonomic design and “significantly more comfort and privacy than is usual in today's medium-haul jets”, the carrier said in a statement.
The new seats will be configured in a 2x2 arrangement on the carrier’s Airbus A320neo jets, and will debut on its Berlin-Dubai route this November. The Premium BIZ seat will be bookable from August.
The carrier, a subsidiary of the Lufthansa Group, said the new seat concept is the first step in a “comprehensive product and service campaign”, with plans to introduce “further innovative offers” that will "significantly improve the travel experience for all passengers on short and medium-haul routes”.
