Etihad Airways will resume regular service
between Melbourne and London Heathrow via Abu Dhabi after suspending
all flights to, from, or through Abu Dhabi in March due to the Covid-19
epidemic. The Melbourne to London via Abu Dhabi service will resume on 15 May,
while the opposite route will resume on 21 May, the airline said. In both
cases, just one route per day will be offered until the previous double-daily
connection between the two cities resumes. For both routes, passengers will
remain onboard in Abu Dhabi, and will be subject to "an extensive
sanitisation and safety programme" on flights and at airports,"
Etihad said.
