Etihad Airways, the
national airline of the UAE, is to launch twice-weekly flights to Vienna from 18
July 2021. The service was originally due to start in 2020 with four-times
weekly flights but this was derailed by the onset of the pandemic.
The flights will be operated
using a Boeing 787 Dreamliner with two classes of service, economy and
business, on Thursdays and Sundays. The services will leave Vienna at 1245, arriving in Abu Dhabi at
2335. From Abu Dhabi, the flight departs at 0730, arriving in the Austrian
capital at 1120.
Austria is currently open
to nationals and residents of Austria, residents of Schengen-member states and
Switzerland, business travellers and students.
