Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Airways has launched a new codeshare agreement with Air Serbia to increase its connectivity in southeast Europe.
The codeshare covers 12 European destinations from Air Serbia’s hub in Belgrade, adding nine new airports to Etihad’s extended network, including Bucharest, Budapest, Thessaloniki, Tirana, Skopje and Sofia.
Passengers can also connect to Air Serbia flights from Etihad’s European gateways in Athens, Milan, Rome and Vienna. The codeshare is now active and covers all flights from 3 February onwards.
Jurriaan Stelder, Etihad’s VP of alliances and industry affairs, said: "This partnership further expands our codeshare network and provides our guests with convenient access to 12 of Air Serbia’s leisure and business destinations.”
Boško Rupić, general manager of commercial and strategy at Air Serbia, added: “By joining forces with Etihad, we expand the reach of our services, offering our passengers a wider array of destinations and connectivity options.
“This translates into more choices, flexibility, and convenience for those who choose Air Serbia for their journeys.”
