Etihad Airways has added flights from Abu Dhabi to Brussels,
Dublin, London Heathrow, Zurich and Tokyo Narita to its list of special flights
being put on to allow travellers to return home from the UAE.
The carrier has been operating repatriation services since
several countries implemented travel restrictions due to the coronavirus
outbreak, including flights to Amsterdam, Jakarta, Manila, Melbourne, Soul
Incheon and Singapore. The flights also support the UAE Food Security Programme
by utilising belly-hold capacity of passenger aircraft for cargo.
In addition, Etihad is continuing to offer repatriation
flights for UAE citizens stranded abroad.
Heathrow flights will depart Abu Dhabi at 0655 on 16, 17 and
18 April, while the Zurich services leave at 0900 on 17 and 19 April. The
Brussels service will depart at 0835 on 17 and 19 April, and the Dublin flights
leave at 1120 on 15, 20 and 22 April. There was one Tokyo service today, with
the others departing at 2140 on 17 and 20 April.
Special flights can be booked through the Etihad website and
mobile app, or through a local or online travel agency.
