Emirates is to offer passengers in economy the opportunity to buy empty adjoining seats at check-in for between US$55 and US$165 plus taxes. The airline is targeting those who want “more space during pandemic times”.
The seats will be offered to all economy passengers with a confirmed booking at check-in but they cannot be prebooked.
The airline is also currently offering discounts of between 35 and 60 perr cent on excess baggage rates, which must be pre-booked and pre-paid at least four hours before departure.
