Emirates is restarting services
between various European cities and Dubai over the next few weeks, expanding
its European network to 31 destinations “to gradually meet travel demand, while
always prioritising the health and safety of its customers, crew and
communities”.
Flights from Budapest will
recommence from 21 October, Dusseldorf, Hamburg and Bologna from 1 November and
Lyon from 4 November. All services will be operated using a Boeing
777-300ER on a twice-weekly frequency.
Travellers who purchase an Emirates ticket for travel on or before 31 March
2021 can change their travel dates, extend their ticket validity for two years,
or convert their ticket into a travel voucher to use against any future
flight-related purchase.
The
airline has also committed to cover Covid-19 related medical expenses, free of charge
until 31 December 2020, should they be diagnosed with the disease during their
travel while they are away from home. It is also providing all passengers with complimentary hygiene kits containing masks,
gloves, hand sanitiser and antibacterial wipes.
