Emirates is to increase the number of cities it serves with
A380 aircraft from a current 16 to 27 by the end of November to take advantage of loosening travel restrictions, the airline has announced.
The carrier will reinstate the Airbus giant on services to Amsterdam,
Barcelona, Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Johannesburg, Madrid, Milan, Riyadh (subject to
government approvals), Sao Paulo and Zurich over the next few weeks.
It will also introduce the A380 on services to Istanbul from
1 October, the first time the plane has been used on services to Turkey.
Last December, the airline introduced a new four-class
configuration for its A380 services including premium economy. By November this
year, the airline will have six aircraft equipped with the seat offering and
new-look cabin interiors.
