Emirates is adding another route to Europe with the launch of a service between Helsinki and Dubai later this year.
The airline plans to operate daily flights on the Dubai-Helsinki route from1 October, as it looks to expand its footprint in the Nordic region.
Emirates said the route would be served by Airbus A350 aircraft, which will be fitted with its latest onboard product, including business, premium economy and economy cabins.
Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ deputy president and chief commercial officer, said: “There is already strong demand between Helsinki and Dubai, with travellers connecting through our other Nordic gateways, so introducing direct, year-round connectivity is a natural next step.”
The airline has also announced plans to increase capacity between Dubai and Manila in the Philippines, with four additional weekly flights on the route from 2 April, which will increase services to 32 per week.
