El Al Israel Airlines has announced it will launch direct flights between Manchester and Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion airport on 26 May 2019.
The service will operate three times a week on board a B737-800 aircraft with Business and Economy class.
Flights will depart Manchester on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 1300, arriving in Tel Aviv at 2015 local time. The return service leaves at 0800 and lands at 1140 local time.
Tickets for the route are on sale on El Al’s website now.
Announcing the new route at World Travel Market in London, Michael Strassburger, VP of commercial and industry affairs at El Al, said: “El Al will significantly expand its roster of destinations in Europe in 2019. After announcing direct flights to Lisbon and Nice and the introduction of our new fare model that enables customers to choose how they want to fly and how much they want to pay, we are delighted to announce another new route. Manchester has a large Jewish community and is a centre of business and tourism. This is good news not only for Israeli consumers; we also anticipate carrying thousands of tourists to Israel on this new route.”
