EASYJET is to further its operations at Nice with a four times daily service from Paris Orly from 1 July. The airline already serves Nice from Paris Charles de Gaulle and the move will make easyJet the second biggest operator on the Paris ” Nice route. From Nice the airline also serves Amsterdam, Bristol, Gatwick, Geneva, Liverpool, Luton and Stansted. A four times daily service from Orly to Toulouse is to be added at the same time. Managing director Ray Webster is critical of the recent slot re-allocation at Orly, following the demise of Air Lib, and points out that the Air France holding goes up from 44% to 52%, whilst the next-placed airline, Iberia, has only 6% of slots, some of which are held by a franchise partner. http://www.easyjet.com
