EASYJET is to apply for some 20,000 take-off and landing "slots" at Orly airport in Paris, now available following the demise of the French carrier Air Lib (see above) according to a report in The Times last week. EasyJet has for a long time argued in public its need for more access at the southern Paris airport and sources point out that by buying Airbus the airline has clearly made itself popular in France. The Times says that other airlines have bought from Airbus and then found themselves suddenly gaining slot at French airports. No connection says easyJet. http://www.easyjet.com
