EasyJet has announced three new routes from the UK for its upcoming summer 2026 schedule, including two additional services from Newcastle.
The budget carrier said that it would launch flights from Newcastle to Rome Fiumicino on 30 March, which will be followed by a route from Newcastle to Lisbon on 22 June.
Both Newcastle routes will operate twice per week on Monday and Friday. The move comes as easyJet prepares to open a new base at the airport in March when it will become the airline’s 11th base in the UK.
The carrier has also announced the launch of a new route between Manchester Airport and Bari in southern Italy. Twice-weekly flights will begin on 3 July with departures on Monday and Friday.
Kevin Doyle, easyJet's UK country manager, said: “We are set to operate our biggest ever flying programme this summer, offering more than 50 million seats to and from the UK, and remain committed as we ever have been to making travel easy.”
