European budget carrier easyJet will launch nine new routes from across the UK to destinations in France, Morocco, Tunisia and Iceland as part of its upcoming winter schedule.
The carrier will launch new connections from Birmingham to the French cities of Lyon and Paris from 30 October, while an additional route from London Southend to Paris Charles de Gaulle is also planned, along with a new weekly service from Manchester to Grenoble.
UK-based easyJet also plans to introduce new services between London Luton and Enfidha, Tunisia and from Bristol to Marrakech, Morocco.
Two new domestic routes from Southampton to Glasgow and Belfast will commence on 29 October 2023, with departures up to three times a week.
The carrier added that it will be the only UK airline to fly to Akureyri in North Iceland, when it launches a new twice-weekly service from London Gatwick on 31 October.
The announcement of new winter routes follows the carrier’s recent European network expansion, which will see the airline operate its biggest ever UK summer flying programme. Tickets for all nine new routes are now on sale.
Ali Gayward, easyJet’s UK country manager, said the new routes “demonstrate our confidence in the resilient strength of demand for travel in the UK, with customers choosing us for our trusted brand, unrivalled network and great value fares”.
