EasyJet is to introduce a new route between Glasgow Airport andRome starting in early 2026.
The budget carrier will operate the route three times per week from the Scottish city to Rome Fiumicino from 2 February. Services will run on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Kevin Doyle, easyJet's country manager, said: “By expanding our network in Scotland, we’re continuing to enhance connectivity for our customers who choose easyJet for our unrivalled route network, great value fares and friendly service.”
Currently, rival UK-based carrier Jet2 offers flights between Glasgow and Rome Fiumicino.
Chris Tibbett, airline director at Glasgow Airport’s parent company AGS Airports, added: “It’s encouraging to see easyJet investing in city connectivity and seeing the opportunities that Glasgow Airport provides.
