Eastern Airways will increase frequencies on its Newcastle to Aberdeen route from January 21.
The airlines, which is a franchise partner of Flybe, will increase frequency from twice daily to up to four flights per day on the route to the UK’s oil capital.
Eastern Airways will offer flights departing Newcastle at 6.45am, 11.15am, 1.45pm and 9pm from Monday to Thursday. The move comes after the airline launched a new twice daily route from Newcastle to London City last week.
Roger Hage, Eastern Airways’ general manager operations, said: “After a strong start to bookings in 2019, we have significantly increased our Newcastle to Aberdeen service with some weekday customers now having double the amount of flights to choose from, thanks to our Monday-Thursday service operating four times daily from Newcastle.
“We know the Newcastle and Durham Tees Valley services to Aberdeen are heavily relied upon by those working in the oil and gas sector, and with the latest industry survey revealing the highest levels of confidence in business since 2013, we’re very pleased to help meet the demands in the sector.”
