Delta Air Lines will add more new routes to Europe for summer 2024 including extra services to Italy, Ireland and Germany.
The US carrier said it was expanding European capacity next year after enjoying a “record-setting” summer 2023 season across the Atlantic.
Delta will launch a new daily non-stop service from New York to Naples from 23 May, which will become its fourth Italian destination from its hub at JFK airport.
The airline will also restore the route between JFK and Shannon in Ireland from 23 May, which last operated in 2019. This additional route to Ireland will complement Delta’s already announced Minneapolis St Paul-Dublin route, which starts on 9 May.
Other moves will see Delta introducing a non-stop flight between JFK and Munich from 9 April with three flights per week.
The carrier plans to increase its weekly services between Atlanta and both Paris and Venice for the summer 2024 season, as well as relaunching its Atlanta-Zurich route with four weekly flights from 31 May.
Outside Europe, Delta is also planning to turn its new Los Angeles to Auckland seasonal route, which begins on 28 October, into a year-round service. The airline will also increase Los Angeles to Sydney flights to twice daily from December.
Delta’s Los Angeles-Shanghai route will resume from 31 March 2024, with four flights per week year-round.
