MY TRAVEL has lost the services of David Crossland, chairman, who has resigned with immediate effect. Mr Crossland, the company founder (as Airtours 31 years ago) was set to retire last November. However last October he agreed to stay on for ”up to a year” to oversee the introduction of the new management team following the abrupt departures of Tim Byrne, David Jardine and Richard Carrick and a loss of confidence both in the city and the travel trade. The chairmanship will be taken over by Eric Sanderson in a non-executive capacity. On Friday My Travel shares closed ” p lower at 14”p, a long way off a 12 month high of 250p. http://www.mytravel.com
