CSA, the Czech national airline, last week celebrated its 80th anniversary with a fashion show at London”s Caf” Royal, top designer Natali Ruden and exclusive jewellery designer Jablonex attracting a travel trade audience of nearly 500. CSA today (Monday 14 April) introduces daily non-stop service from Edinburgh to Prague and four times weekly Cork to Prague, adding to the Birmingham, Dublin, Heathrow, Manchester and Stansted routes already flown. The airline is looking into the possibilities of Gatwick for the future and evaluating both the Boeing 767 and Airbus 330 to replace its Airbus 310 on the New York service in 2005. What it really wants is a third slot at Heathrow and says that as an operator at the London airport since 1946 it should get priority. www.csa.cz
